I have a Peugeot 205 XS. When I start it, the engine shuts off after a while. I smell a strong odor of gasoline, and the engine starts vibrating more than usual. At the same time, the lights dim, and if I accelerate, the brightness increases. I would appreciate any help you can give me! Thanks!

Hi, regarding what you mentioned, it's more likely that you have a problem with your alternator. It would be a good idea to have the charging system checked by your electrician, and then the engine by your mechanic, because if the alternator is failing, the engine shouldn't necessarily shut off.
