Hello friends, we have a 1996 Opel Vectra B at home, and we're not sure if its fuel consumption is normal or if there's something that needs adjusting.

The engine is a 1.6 16V 100hp sedan, and it's usually getting 10-11 liters per 100km in combined driving (highway and city). According to the fuel gauge, when it hits reserve after using 50 liters, it gets about 450-500km, but that happens very rarely.

Thanks

Opel Vectra...
1.6...

10 to 11 liters per 100 km...

I think it's fuel-efficient.

I think it's an underpowered engine for such a large car. (That's just my opinion.)

You should take a look at the relationship between your car's weight and the 100 horsepower it supposedly has.

You'll see how much effort it needs to move that clunker you have.

Cheers.
