Mercury 50 HP injection problems with the mechanical gasoline pump

I have a 2018 Mercury Injection Mercury engine with 25 hours for use and the original mechanical gasoline pump broke. They tell me that it is because of the fuel additives and changes of the type of fuel, which is not the one that advises the manufacturer. I want to know if you can put an electric pump so as not to have that inconvenience and if so, it must be. Thank you.
