Loose gear lever

Hello, good morning yesterday trying to pass reverse in my Chevrolet Corsa Diesel 2005. Suddenly the gear lever when returning to Neutral was released, leaving with a lot of game and does not have the normal stop being very soft. And which now does not happen the reverse. What a problem can be. ? Will it be very serious?

And trying to look for the solution I opened the capot and when this piece was released. It also has another loose plastic piece. Help and tips please are appreciated.
