Advance problem in Kia Sephia 2000 Automatic

Hello everyone, I'm writing about my problem. I have a 2000 Kia Sephia 1.8 automatic. About a week ago, I ran out of fuel because the fuel gauge stopped working. I tried to start it a couple of times with the tank empty until I realized it was the fuel. I put in 5 gallons and kept driving until I reached a hill. The car started jerking and wouldn't go very far. I turned it off, and it ran normally for a few kilometers, but it stalled three times. That's what happened.
Now, when I took it to get the fuel pump replaced, I noticed the tank was full of sediment; it looked like mud or dirty water. They cleaned it, but the problem persists. They also checked the mass airflow sensor, and they said it was working fine. I should mention that I've done a minor tune-up (spark plugs, filters, belts). Could the injectors be clogged? I would appreciate your answers.....

That's what it mostly points to; you are advised to clean the injectors.

I'll do it and let you know the result. I'd appreciate it if anyone else has experienced something similar and how they solved it.
