3.2 FSI Published by manual-mecanica
Good evening everyone, I'm writing to the forum because of a problem. I have a 2007 Passat 3.2 V6 FSI with an AXZ engine. I bought it with a broken piston due to overheating. I'll tell you everything I've done. I had the pistons custom-made at IASA since I couldn't find them locally due to import issues (they turned out great). We also had the cylinder head rebuilt (we're cylinder head repairers), and we assembled it meticulously, leaving nothing out. We checked the volume of each cylinder, and everything is perfect. The timing was set using AutoData. The problem is this: I start it up and it runs fine, but when I accelerate and then let off the gas, there's a terrible noise in the intake manifold, like the timing is off or something, or maybe a chain slap, but it's not audible. It's just a resonant noise in the intake manifold. The variable valve timing gears are new, and the seals that maintain pressure on the camshafts were replaced. I don't know what else to do. I connect the scanner and it shows a fault code for the exhaust camshaft sensor operating range. When the fault occurs, the tachometer fluctuates wildly. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Manual-mechanics response on the topic 3.2 fsi
Hello, the revolution sensor controls, and that at the time that it is starting, the distribution for the fault that the scanner tells you is that it is out of point greetings
