The battery of my kawasaki motorcycle vn 900 of 2007 does not load the battery. Changed battery Checking the alternator The three poles have continuity tested each to mass does not give. What checks I have to do to make sure that it is the alternator or the regulator.

Check the brooms of the regulator in case they did not make good contact due to wear or dirt of the collector, also check the alternator cable to battery (including the interior of the terminal) that sometimes sulfate and make not good contact. In general, the alternator is usually quite hard and the problem is usually broom or excited cable (cut cable or poor contact) that does not induce and then the alternator does not work; That's why I don't tell you to check the diodes bridge or anything like that ... greetings !!

Check if the alternator generates, with the motorcycle running and measuring alternate voltage at the exit of each alternator field. Then measure DC at the exit of the diodes. If this is normal, it can be thought that it is the regulator and not the alternator.
