2002 Mazda Protege, emits black smoke when cold. Posted by manual-mecanica

I have a Mazda protects 2002, made black smoke when it is cold, fails, especially when it rains or cold time! What problem do I have? What can I do? Thank you

Hi Rey.
You might have a fuel injection problem. Check for leaks at the injectors, or better yet, test each one individually. Check the sensors and especially the air filter.
