Hello very good night. I am a general automotive mechanic. I just repaired a 2.0 2.0 Motor Cerato 2007. With CVVT.
The fact is that although the synchronization of time has been carried out according to the manual. The vehicle costs a lot to light. And when we manage to turn on you have to keep it accelerated because otherwise it goes out and it costs a lot more to turn it on than the first time. The problem that we use two batteries is such so that the engine can turn fast enough to try to turn on.

Everything new, rings, connecting rods and bench. The maintenance of combustion camera was carried out correctly, and even cam sensor, crankshaft position, snop or pounding, and today put the new escape cam with the new original CVVT gear. And the same failure still continues.

The fact is that I need the opinion of a specialized mechanic Kia to see if you can help me with this problem. Thank you in advance and apologize.

Good compi, I am not a specialist in KIA but something similar happened to me with a Toyota Yaris, the problem was the CVVT oil pressure valve that was blocked and this was because of being dry without oil for the time we took to rebuild the engine. Let's not forget that the advance of the camshall gives the oil pressure and if the valve that takes the step is obstructed, the admission opening angle changes to idle. Salludos !!

Well sorry I was testing how it is resirmed here because for me as I told you it is the engine. You should lower the cylinder head and check if you are wanting to grab the rings that are probable that they are scratching the cylinders if you do not want to turn because there is no light in the rings CORECTA check and revious tb your pistons:) that is for my first rsaca the cylinder head and check if it is raying if so disassemble:)

I have forgot if possible you should measure the compression before. If possible but so you need the starter engine to make the engine turn to good revolutions. Then tell me how Bye went. I recent :)
