Renault Trafic engine. Published by manual-mecanica
Hello friends, I'm not a mechanic, but I'm using your page for my friend who is.
My question is, I bought a Renault Trafik diesel van. The engine was beyond repair. I was told they're very complicated and unreliable; they overheat, guzzle oil, and blow up. Is that really the case? Are they bad? Between fixing the one it has or putting in another one, which would be better, up to 18 horsepower, 2000cc engine? If not, explain how to install it so it doesn't break down. What's the problem with it? Or is there another engine option, even from a different brand? We want to use the Trafik to transport clothes and everything else we can to rural schools in Chubut. You can see our Facebook page if you're interested in what we want to use it for. I would appreciate your answers.

Manual-mechanics response on the topic of Renault Trafik engine
I'm asking again about the oil system connected to the intake. That's why the engines seize up; they suck in oil and won't stop. The idea is to rebuild the entire engine, but I'm afraid that if I don't install that oil cooler connected to the intake that lubricates the piston head and other parts, something might happen. Could something break?

Hello everyone, SILVIO2011, I'd love to help you, but I've never seen a Traffic van. Giving an opinion on something I don't know would be irresponsible. I ask that people in the community who are familiar with these engines please help you. Regards.
