Mitsubshi Montero Sport Cams Censor

Hi everyone, my camshaft position sensor on my Montero Sport broke. Could that be why it won't start? If I replace it, will I have any further problems? My question is, if I replace the part, will I need to do anything else before starting it for it to work properly? Thanks in advance for any comments.

You shouldn't have any major problems if you change that part, you don't need anything else, but are you sure it's not starting because of that, because there are several factors involved in starting it.

First, check the camshaft position sensor connector signals before replacing it. Then, it would also be a good idea to check the crankshaft position sensor. If this sensor is damaged or dirty, your vehicle won't start either. If that's the case, you don't need to use a scanner when changing a component (in this case, it's not necessary).
