AC resistor Altima 95 Published by manual-mecanica
I have a 1995 Altima. The air conditioning has four speeds, but only speed 4 is working. I've been told it's a resistor.

Could someone on the forum please help me locate this resistor and provide instructions on how to replace it?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Manual-mechanical response on the topic of AC resistance in a 1995 Altima
Hey mate, the resistor works for the first three speeds; the fourth or highest speed is controlled directly by the switch or potentiometer. You'll find this resistor inside the same compartment as the blower or heater fan, since it's cooled by the same airflow. It's usually rectangular, no more than four centimeters, and secured with two screws. Note: the signal from the potentiometer to the resistor is negative, NOT positive. The resistor definitely has four wires: three negative inputs coming from the first three points on the potentiometer, plus a return wire that goes to the blower motor. Cheers!

Thank you OMC ELECTRO for your support.
If anyone else has my problem and doesn't know the resistor value for the one that controls the speeds of the air conditioning control unit, I've attached it to the file.
