I lose all the refrigerant fluid of my Audi 80 published by manual-mecanica
Hello, I have a problem with my Audi 80 2.e

at the beginning the fan when the car is parked (not the 10 minutes after parking) being standing until the battery exhausts me. He leaves it dry. I've had to change it 3 times.

The point is that as "fudge" what I do is disconnect the battery opening the hood every time I park. Then I went on to disconnect the fan since I used it only for road and did not pass 90 degrees.

But the other day I began to see that smoke from the hood came out, stopped and the sleeve (the big one) that carries the refrigerant fluid to the radiator had come out of the temperature pressure. I put it clenching the washer more strongly and endured a few kilometers but again it happened that smoke came out but this time the sleeve had not gotten out but had lost all the liquid.

Assuming that it was the radiator I filled it again and left it a few days. Today I have started being parked until the engine was heated and the fan at 70 degrees has shot but has already stopped 90-95 degrees with the open hood I have heard a "pluf" and the sleeve has been released again assuming that it is due to the temperature reached and the pressure it has exerted.

I do not know if it is worth fixing it although it is a shame because the car is going well, but it is 20 years old and how it begins to change things I do not stop ...

do you think it can be the radiator? It is that if it were the radiator, the sleeve had not been released due to the temperature pressure, it would have been lost elsewhere, right? Or if it is the fan that does not have the temperature well regulated to shoot or, I do not know ...

well, your opinions are appreciated.

Greetings.

Hello, referring to the fan issue you would have to check sensors, wiring, relays to know if everything is fine.
On the other hand, if any sleeve leaves even if the tight flange is very possible that the butt joint, the cylinder head itself or even the block is bad and what happens is that the cooling circuit and the cylinder/s are communicated, then the cylinder pressure passes to the refrigerant circuit and the refrigerant passes to the cylinder, therefore the refrigeration circuit takes too much pressure and the refrigeration It is consumed by the engine or expelled abroad because the sleeve is released by excessive pressure.

Thanks Jordi for your answer. The issue smells quite badly so it may be better than the car with 20 years that would not give me 400 euros walking well for it leads it directly to the delay, although it is a shame because the car is going well and inside it is well taken care of. Do you think it is worth reviewing with the explanation I have put?

Thanks again and greetings.

Every vehicle is recoverable, so you say it has a dema pressure within the water system, this can be for many things not only cylinder head, it could be a covered radiator, a water pump that does not work due to wear is 20 years hahaha here in Chile we repair it, we will be clear that here the repair cost is much less expensive, but independent of all this you have a simple test, the ventilator leaves the ventilator with a switch Cables and salt and see if it warms up, if it does not and there is no pressure within the system and the water does not disappear, it is not cylinder head and the repair is not so expensive.
