Refrigeration, radiator, problems published by manual-mecanica
Hyundai Getz Gls 1.3

Good, I have problems with my car and I would like to know what happens to it, I have read a lot and I have checked the state of the vehicle to diagnose the symptoms.

The problem began when the car hit me a warm , Smoke from the capo left , at that time I could not do anything because it was night and did not see Na.

The next day I took the car and stopped twice but the temperature from the indicator was normal , then smoke came out again.

I have proven that it had water, 5 liters were swallowed , the case is that it takes water around a few weeks .

The floor does not stain it with water, the radiator's water is immediately ocher , I have stained the entire engine of this color , the leak I suppose it is generated while I walk with the car but while I stand with the engine on only drip (very little) at the beginning of the upper tube (insufficient to stain the entire engine).

The upper rubber/tube seems to have pressure because the fuguilla sounds and is hard , but the lower tube/rubber is very soft as if it had nothing inside .

The radiator is always cold.

Can it be the water pump? (I have touched the tubes with the engine on and the fan running)

How does the radiator clean inside so that it is not ocher?

How do I solve the problem?

Greetings and thanks

Hello; For the symptoms you describe, (especially the hardness of the water tubes/hoses), I would bet on (closed) the thermostat of your vehicle.
And the ocher color of the water may not be oxide, but the mixture of water with some engine oil. Perhaps when the vehicle rehearsed, the butt joint, or cylinders lid burned, letting water and oil be mixed at some point.
If the instruments did not mark a temperature excess, it surely happened because the circuit did not have water, the sensor cannot mark the real temperature.
I recommend you not use the vehicle until the problem is definitely solved, so as not to damage the engine permanently.
Luck!

Thank you very much for the answer Gordillen, I send some photos of my motor zone to see if you find any problem and to see the state in which it is and what the mechanics did to me.

In the first we see the electric thermostat that they put me and with a circle above what I think is the original thermostat, whose connector I have realized that it is full of oil inside, it is seen in the following image.

Then we have the radiator cap that one of the mechanics told me for a long time to leave him for the brand he made to me in the tube, now he is erased but is where he is placed. Another thing I remember that he will do 2 years without realizing the plug that puts h that I have put a circle, I have realized that this goes to the radiator has something to do with why the mechanic never told me any of this?

Finally you can see the entire ocher in the motor area.

Greetings and thanks

That such a friend
to my opinion is oxide, you must check water and thermostat pump and something very
important Frio The car fill the water edge and turn the car without the radiator plug, if the water does not skip the radiator and do not leave air bubbles, it indicates that there is no damage in the engine, otherwise you will have to check the engine head (button)
any novelty you warn us

The most likely by the symptoms is that the blanket packaging has been damaged or crooked the same so the healthiest is to remove it to rectify it and check that it has not cracked and change the packaging and thermostat washing the radiator and change the oil and with that the problem would also be prudent
