Hello.
2 things.
1- There are two types of oils for automatic boxes one red that is the ATF, and one coffee that is sae 10 if I am not mistaken.
But according to my autodata that model occupies Dextron III, and if this coffee is that the oil is over and cafe.
2- When the transmission oil is burned it usually takes a dark coffee color.
To test the converter. (Stator)
* You take the converts and put it on your back.
* The converter inside has oil, so you put your finger on the hole and you will find an striated axis that moves (stator) (which is in the middle).
This is the stator.
*Then you press it and toured it in a schedule until the oil inside grip.
* Then you simply take an abrupt turn against the schedule.
* If it is in good condition, this should be closer. (It's like a bicycle piñon but the setback)
It is the only proof that I know how to make the converter.
If you do this test and it is good, what you should do is change the entire oil in the box with the box filter.
Luck.
