I am changing a time chain of a Datsun 72 is legalized and I no longer turned on the check and it is the chain but I want to know the steps to be able to remove it and put it on time

You just need to look at the chain marks in relation to the sprockets. If you find them, remove the tensioners, the guides, and one of the sprockets, either the camshaft or the crankshaft, and that's it. The marks are the most important thing.

I managed to put the timing chain on and put everything back together, but it won't start. I went to a mechanic and he said the timing needs to be set, but the distributor has a paddle that doesn't engage. Does anyone know if I need to synchronize something? And how can I do it?
