Hello everyone, my question is how to install the timing belt on a 1994 Peugeot 306 XR engine. I removed it, and when I installed it the first time, I had no problems, but I had a problem with the cylinder head and had to remove it again. Now, when I try to install it, the engine won't start. I checked the timing marks according to the manual, setting the locking clips on the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys, but my question is that they don't line up when I check the flywheel at the back. I made sure the timing mark on the flywheel window aligns with the crankshaft position sensor (TDC). Now it won't start. What should I do? I previously installed the belt according to some marks I placed as a reference. Now I'm not sure if the timing marks are correct. Can someone tell me which ones and where the correct timing marks are, and what position the steering rack is in relative to the position sensor? The marks are on the front. Oh, and one more thing: the mark on the crankshaft sprocket points upwards when it's synchronized according to the manual, and on the other end of the same sprocket there's a mark pointing in the opposite direction, downwards. Help! Please! By the way, the engine is a single overhead camshaft
