Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: New Motor
The motor number is so or less at 15 XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
which is the engine model and following a unique identity number.
If you change the engine you must make a transfer and then sign before a notary, then do the paperwork in Civil Registry in vehicles to change the old motor number for that of the new one.

luck

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: New Motor
The fastest thing if you do not want to do so much process, it is something that I do not know if it is not illegal but it is done.
The old motor plate is changed to the new motor plate, in short. You take the old engine plate and insert it to the new engine.
This should be done if the engine has the same carasterists of the old engine.

So nothing to do ... just do all the corresponding paperwork.

Good luck:)
