I have the diagram I got from Autodata on hand; I assume it's the same one. Besides the ruler that goes behind the camshafts for timing, the diagram also indicates there's a bolt used to lock the crankshaft, but I can't find it. My question is that the exhaust-side camshaft, after being synchronized and turned two full turns, loses its timing when trying to set it again (I should clarify that it's the sprocket that rotates). I've checked if it has a keyway or anything that might stop it, and unfortunately, it doesn't. So, the sprocket bolt has been tightened as much as possible, but it still rotates. I should mention that the vehicle does start, but the engine is running unevenly.

What was explained to you previously is correct. If the engine uses chains and gears on the main pulley or damper, look closely and you'll see a hole in the chain cover that aligns with the hole in the damper. After you've positioned the camshafts with the alignment tool, with piston 1 at top dead center (TDC), put a 6mm bolt in the hole in the damper and the chain cover. Remove the starter motor to use the toothed flywheel and lock it in place with something while you torque the damper and the two timing gears. If a gear spins even when tightened, make sure the bolt tightening it has a washer.

Make sure the bolt holding the gear is not too long, and that it has a washer to hold the gear securely.
