The question is simple, what happens or that causes the disconnection of the MAF?, I ask the question in my car the disconcexion causes the engine to be heated immediately, I do not know if this is normal, because most of the time when disconnecting a sensor, this sensor relies on another, to continue the function of the car, and prevent it from stopping. As a consequence I think there could be a sensor failing or other artifact.

Greetings CALTOVI, each vehicle brand in its Ecus possess their own "algorithms" to solve problems in case of sensor failures, for example in some Camry they have MAP and MAF sensor to avoid a motor draft in case of failing one of them, other vehicles do not have such support, most use the basic function of injecting other fuel in case of fault of a sensor. There are engines that are penetrated by disconnecting the TPS sensor, the MAP, the MAF, the CMP, I have undoubtedly the CKP. Do not misunderstand a defective sensor for disconnecting it, if the engine turns off this means that this sensor is fundamental in the calculations in the combustion process.

Thanks friend x your answer, I asked the previous question because I have an unpriment of 1995 1.8, and this one has slowed down problems, in cold it accelerates at 2000 rpm or more (sometimes it is stuck), then it goes down to 1200 and at most at 1000 when it is hot. Some time ago I restring the air passage in the butterfly, as a consequence the engine has a normal idle, but it is heated in demacia, starting the fans after a while ... I no longer know what to do what to do : D.

Greetings, with slowdown problems, the IAC is reviewed and cleaned, as well as the TPS, already assuming that spark plugs, cables, fuel and air filter is in good condition, the heating may indicate that the engine is out of point, I ask you now, and the engine is hot, if you turn off and turn on it is re -slowed down to 1000rpm or it accelerates to 2000rpm and falls slowly?
