Hydraulic Pump Published by manual-mecanica
:( Hello everyone on the forum, I have a problem with the power steering pump on my Accent GLS. I replaced the bearing because it was making a lot of noise, and now the pump doesn't have enough pressure, and the steering is extremely stiff. Could someone lend me a hand? I need to know what the problem might be. Thanks.

You didn't assemble the sweep circuit board backwards, so instead of generating pressure it's in neutral?

Hi Charly. I'll tell you about the tile you're talking about; it only has one way to assemble because it has a mold. The rest can be assembled any way you like; it doesn't have sides, which is why it really catches my attention.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. I'm referring to the disc that contains the wiper plates. In general, the ones I've disassembled, the plate or flywheel can be reversed and doesn't press against anything. That's why I'm asking. After that, there's not much to analyze,
unless the wiper plates aren't moving freely inside the disc and aren't drawing the oil into the circuit.

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: HYDRAULIC PUMP
Hi Charly, yes, we're talking about the same circuit board, but I did another test and took the engine to 7500 rpm on a curve, and when I decelerated, the steering started working again. I'm really baffled, unless the valve at the pump outlet got stuck and came loose when it received pressure, which is very possible. I really appreciate your help, my friend. We'll be in touch for any other questions. Cheers!
