Cavalier 2.4, 1996. Published by manual-mecanica
: HUH: Hi everyone... can anyone help me? I need to know the torque specifications for the cylinder head bolts on a 1996 Cavalier 2.4. I have a torque wrench I bought, but I don't know how to use it. It's an Australian-made Warren & Brown, model 323500, but I can't find the specifications, just numbers I don't understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's in the following units: FtLb...Nn... Kgm. Which of these three should I use to apply the torque? I'm a bit clueless about this, so I hope someone can lend me a hand. Thanks in advance, everyone.

The workshop manual is in the manuals section on this same page, and the three abbreviations you mentioned are useful, but depending on the manual, they may be expressed in one or the other. ftlb stands for feet per pound, which is commonly called just pounds in mechanics' jargon. nm stands for newton meters, and kgm stands for kilogram meters. All torque wrenches come with two or three sizes
