Ford Fiesta air conditioning problems. Posted by manual-mecanica
Good afternoon, I have a 2002 Ford Fiesta 1.6. The problem is the following: when I start the car, it starts fine without the air conditioning on, and the car runs well, but sometimes around 80 km/h it loses power. I accelerate, but nothing happens; the RPMs don't increase. I have to let off the accelerator and accelerate again. This only happens occasionally. Also, when I turn on the air conditioning, the car hesitates when it's stopped, as if it's going to stall, but it doesn't. I've been told that it has a valve that makes the car accelerate when the air conditioning is on, but I don't know where it's located. And when I accelerate with the air conditioning on to get going, the car struggles and makes a "pump pump" sound coming from the throttle body. I've changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil, fuel pump, and fuel filter, but nothing has changed

You're having problems with your air conditioning electrical system. Check the electrical signals.
Your car's computer is protecting itself due to overvoltage caused by a possible power outage.

The valve they mentioned is the IAC valve; it controls the idle speed. They usually get dirty and need cleaning. Also, clean the throttle body
