Automatic clutch cable published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello friends, I had a problem with a Peugeot 806 of gasoline, began to skate the clutch and was going to change it because I was already about 200,000 km. Most of the kilometers were by road and highway, so the clutch should not be very damaged.
Before changing it, I came up with the control lever of the Cambós box and I saw that it was a strap, I did not go back to anything and the clutch cable was tensioned as if it were stepping on the pedal.
I changed the clutch cable and the problem was solved.

Conclusion: clutch cables with automatic recovery sometimes fail and it is not the same to change a cable to change a clutch.
The antim cables that had to regulate them had the failure that when the clutch was spent the pedal lowered and did not disengage well, which sometimes scratched the marches. It was solved by regulating them again and pressing the contractor.
Modern cables, which recover wear with a spring and ball system, fail and are tensioned, which wears the clutch or skating disk and we believe that it is a different breakdown.
I personally prefer cable with manual regulation or hydraulic clutch.
I tell you the subject in case it helps you for any breakdown with such cables.
Greetings.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: automatic clutch cable
Good AFTGM conclusion, it should be noted that for Peugeot and Citroen there are the two piola verctions for the same vehicle, that is, you find those of automatic and also mechanical regulation, mechanical regulation is always preferable since it is more faithful than automatic and you can work in it luck and greetings.
