Volkswagen Polo Classic 2001 Gearbox

Hello friends...my name is Nicolás and I'm from Concepción, Chile.

I'm having some trouble with my car and I've had to look for help on forums due to the lack of information available.

I'm having problems with the gearbox of my 2001 VW Polo Classic. Some time ago I replaced the gearbox bearings, but one was left without its replacement because the gearbox had been opened previously and it was impossible to remove the shaft to access that bearing.

I'm seriously considering replacing the entire gearbox, because it's welded and it recently started leaking oil.

My question is...what other gearbox would fit this model? I read somewhere that the one from a Seat Ibiza might work (but I don't know which year).

Does anyone know if there's a Polo being dismantled or, failing that, an Ibiza?
