I get water to the engine published by Manual-Mecanica

In a rain I enter the engine and stopped, they took out the water and started but smokes a lot of white when it starts cold, do I have to stop until repairing it? Can I harm it more if I still use it? Will have folded a connecting rod? Is a Peugeot 306 hdi. They answer me.
