1993 GRANDCHEROKEE A/C DRAIN Published by manual-mecanica
Hello, I need to know how to clean the drain pipe of the air conditioner in my 1993 Grand Cherokee Jaredo. The system works like a freezer, but the carpet gets wet when I turn it on. I know it's the drain because there's no dripping water, but I need to know how to unclog it without causing any further damage. I would be very grateful to anyone who can help me resolve this issue.
Best regards from Ecuador.

You have to remove the entire dashboard of the vehicle, but be careful, the radiator might also be broken or there might be a hose along the way. Good luck.

Hi Kikemec, thanks for your reply, but I don't understand what "torpedo" means. Also, I don't understand what the radiator has to do with this. Furthermore, the heating system is disconnected. It's possible you gave the wrong answer. Thanks again for your selfless interest in helping.

Hey Salinero, that's easy. Just grab the air vent; there's a hose there. Blow air through it with a compressor, and your problem is solved

Thanks Frito, I know that's the solution, but I've spent hours under the car looking for the drain hose that's usually there, but it's nowhere to be seen. It seems these cars drain into the chassis. I've checked online, and it seems to be a Jeep issue that there's no visible hose. When you lift the carpet on the right side, you can see a plastic piece that indicates it's the drain, and coincidentally, my question is, "How do I open that part without damaging it?" I appreciate your interest. Best regards
