Automatic Transmission for a 1999 Chevy Monza. Posted by manual-mecanica

Hi everyone, I have a problem with the automatic transmission in my '99 Chevy Monza. I've tried looking for the manual but haven't found it.
The problem is that it won't shift from 2nd to 3rd gear or reverse because it overheats, and the problem is intermittent.

Fluid levels,
oil color, and
smell are all fine.

Can anyone help me, please?

Hey friend, the same thing happened to me. You have to drop the gearbox and replace the discs, plus the seals get damaged over time.
