I have a Mountaineer pickup truck that was stolen, and I've already found it, but they ruined the engine. There's a hole in the bottom of the block; it looks like a piston flew out.
This engine is a 1997 5.0 V8

. I also have a 1989 Crown Victoria 5.0 V8 engine.

My question is, will the 1989 engine block fit the 1997 one?

You would have to disassemble the two and check them physically on the other hand, it is still almost the same with some variations and perhaps echo you would have to grab the original engine some exterior parts.
