Coolant is getting into the engine oil. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello everyone, I have a 2006 Opel Meriva 1.4 and water is getting into the oil pan. The car hasn't overheated and isn't overheating, and it doesn't have an oil cooler. My question is, what could I check before removing the cylinder head? Thank you all very much.

Is water getting into the crankcase? If water is mixing with oil, it's the head gasket and nothing else if you don't have an oil cooler.

Hello, good morning. I'm writing a little late, I apologize for not being able to do so sooner, but the problem with water getting into the oil is coming from the timing belt area. The inner cover, which has a gasket, had deteriorated. Thank you for your help and best regards.
