Megane Classic 1.9 CTA noise

I honestly don't know how to describe it. From the driver's seat, the noise is coming from right above the temperature and fuel gauges, next to the windshield. From the front, it sounds like it's coming from that same height, close to the windshield, but muffled. It's a rattling noise, like a screw that isn't tightening properly. I can't get to that area. Any suggestions?
