Hello everyone, my query is about the MAF sensor of an American Jetta 97, how to maintain or cleaning since my car varies the revolutions and they told me that it was the sensor already mentioned if anyone knows the preceding cleaning I am new in the forum thanks in advance : P

Look usually all MAF sensors are similar. The most appropriate procedure to clean them is with some aerosol product, as are spray acceleration body cleaners. He directs the shot to the sensor filaments but be extremely careful because you can injure or crush them. You must do this at a distance of 30 to 40cms. and with short shots and let it dry with the sun's rays only

It is true is the simplest way to clean it but you should check your Relay regulator and your admission body since the flow maker makes another kind of failure when they are dirty or bad.

Thank you very much to Antonio Campos and Kikemec for their tips the question that I already checked and my car does not bring the MAF sensor that is like a cylinder I will take a photo and upload it to the forum to be safer in fact the car no longer fails is stable the only problem is stable is when I turn on the climate then it is when the revolutions begins to vary. thank you

That again here I take photos that is supposedly the MAF sensor of my car as my car told them is an American Jetta 97 once tube the same problem and they cleaned this piece that I show you in the image according to some friends tells me that this is the maf sensor the truth looks for the display of this piece because I do not want to irrigate it or that at the moment they uncover the foot. I appreciate your help.
