Spirit 93 Std. Semi-carbureted TBI Legalized Published by manual-mecanica
I have a 1993 Dodge Spirit Standard with a semi-carbureted TBI (throttle body injection) and it's legal.
My problem is this: I had the fuel pump, TBI, and computer replaced, but now it's using a lot of gas.
I removed the TBI and carburetor housing (I took off the cap that's like a casing) and also the part where the filter goes, and I can see gas leaking from the carburetor.
What can I do? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

The semi-carbureted engine comes with a central injector, right? If so, remove it and replace the seals. If it seals well, there's no problem. If it continues to leak, test it on a test bench to see what happens. If it's faulty, just replace it. When the seals are bad, fuel leaks through and the car uses a lot of fuel.
