Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Ford Econoline problems, help please
Check the bearings, cousin. They're probably badly scored or worn. Just to give you an idea, check the connecting rod and main bearings. It doesn't take much time, and you'll see if you're losing pressure there. Or, if you have an oil pump (like the ones used to add or remove oil from transmissions), adapt it to where the oil pressure switch is. Start pumping oil through there and remove the oil pan to see where the oil is leaking. Let's think about this for a moment: the lubrication system in engines consists of... the oil pump, the filter, the oil passages, and the passages in the connecting rod and main bearings. You've already replaced the pump. Analyze it and tell me what else you need to check besides the bearings, or maybe a damaged lifter. It wouldn't hurt to check the pressure regulator valve on the filter housing. Ultimately, you have no choice but to exhaust all possible causes.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Ford Econoline problems, help please
Hello everyone on the forum, I have an even bigger problem with my Econoline. We're now unsure if the engine comes out through the front. The oil pan is in the way, so we couldn't remove it because it has a bridge in the middle. I've already removed the entire front of the van, but I'd like to confirm with you if it comes out through the front or if we'll have to remove the transmission and take it out from the back.:( Thanks for your help.

It has to come out from the front. If you only want to remove the oil pan, loosen the mounting brackets and lift the engine with a crane or a jack, although I think it will be difficult because of the space above the engine, so that you can release the oil filter. Apparently, you still haven't solved your problem with the oil pressure.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Ford Econoline problems, help please
I'm desperate, so I'm going to just remove the engine and fix it outside and adjust it right away. The only problem is the space is really awkward, which is why I'm asking for help to resolve this situation. The boom doesn't fit, it won't lift it much, and the oil pan is in the way. I've already removed everything from the front; all that's left is to remove the transmission and pull it out, but we're not sure if these engines are removed from the front or how? :(

Dude, you need to remove the cylinder heads, then the transmission, and finally the engine from the front. The pressure problem is likely due to worn main and connecting rod bearings. The water that got into the crankcase must have accelerated the wear. I recommend
a complete engine rebuild. Something similar happened to me,
and I noticed that American engines use a lot of additives,
which causes a lot of carbon buildup inside the engine. When you do any work that compromises the engine's internal components, scale builds up and clogs the oil passages.
