The engine shakes too much. Posted by manual-mecanica

I have a 1981 Mustang and has the 302 V8 engine the problem is that it trembles too much and turns off when it passes through a bump or bump

Check the mounts, spark plugs, coil wires and distributor. Why haven't you done any mechanical work on it?

The cables, spark plugs, coil, and distributor have already been replaced, but it also backfires a lot when it gets hot

The distributor is the first thing that comes to mind. Did you notice? It happened to me a couple of times that the shaft looked different. Let me explain: if I compared them, one was a couple of degrees ahead or backward, and that caused those kinds of problems. Not in the same car, but I did see it. Maybe one tooth was off, and that can also cause backfires
