The problems occur randomly. After driving for a while, when the engine is stopped after about an hour, it takes three attempts to start it, as it turns over but doesn't respond. When cold, there are no problems whatsoever. In fact, the vehicle is left outside overnight in the shade, and on these harsh winter mornings, I repeat, it starts on the first try. We have checked and resolved issues with air in the fuel, the heater cores, and all the other checks one can perform.

Hi, I hope this helps you in some way. It's likely that the crankshaft position sensor is loose, as is its connector. Normally, with the cold, they contract and make contact, and that's why you're not having problems

I had that problem with a Peugeot, and the big problem, mind you, in my case, was the starter; it wouldn't turn over enough
