Codes Published by manual-mecanica
Friends, I have a Peugeot 307 and the engine light is on. They scanned it and it showed error codes P0170 and P1336. The mechanic says I need to replace both oxygen sensors, which I did, but the problem persists. Now they're telling me I need to replace the purge sensor... Thanks

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: Codes
Look, P1336 refers to the oxygen sensor, but P0170 refers directly to fuel injection or the fuel mixture. Did they clear the computer's memory after the repair? Check your injectors and then your timing. Sometimes, like with Fiat, a timing error shows up as a fault in injector number 2. Good luck

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: Codes
Yes, friend, they cleared the code after they installed the oxygen sensor, then it came back. Another thing I've noticed is that I have to keep the gas tank full because when it gets down to half a tank, the car hesitates. And if I suddenly press the accelerator, it still hesitates. Could it be that they damaged another part at the shop? Thanks

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: Codes
Hey friend, tell your mechanic to check the canister, also called the fuel tank vapor chamber, because when it gets clogged it throws oxygen sensor codes and tells you the mixture is too rich, meaning too much fuel is getting in. If it's clogged, replace it and scan again

Okay, thanks. One more question, and excuse my ignorance on the subject: is that canister you mentioned the same as the gas tank?
