XSARA ELECTRIC PROBLEM 1600 GASOLINA

I have a 2002 Citroen Xsara 1.6 petrol. For some time now, the parking lights haven't been working, and the turn signals illuminate on the instrument panel, but none of the indicator lights, neither the hazard lights nor the regular lights, illuminate. Also, the remote key fob stopped working after I changed the battery, and I haven't been able to reset it. Could it be the BSI (Built-in Systems Interface) or the light switches? The garage has plugged in a diagnostic machine, but they haven't been able to find the problem. Thanks in advance for your replies.

it's very likely the BSI (Built-in Systems Interface). They've been failing a lot lately; I've seen many cases. In some, simply resetting it with the SH shunt fuse under the dashboard solved the problem. Remove it; in the same fuse slot, there's another pin. Put in a 30-amp fuse, turn the ignition on, and you'll see the information clear. Turn the ignition off and put the SH fuse back in place. Try that; if it doesn't work, you'll have to program another BSI. This interface only causes problems.

It's true, here in Chile BCIs only cause problems; the failures start with the turn signal issue and then progress.
