I have an Ipanema. Posted by manual-mecanica
Hello, I have an Ipanema and I can't find the manual because I have an electrical problem that I can't solve due to the lack of the manual. My car doesn't have the section that explains what each fuse and relay is for. Thank you in advance

It's easier if you tell us what problem you're having so we can try to help. You can check all the fuses with a tester, and there aren't many relays, really; there shouldn't be more than 4 or 5. Anyway, you can check them with the same tester.

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: I have an Ipanema
Hi, my problem is that the fuel pump doesn't work when I leave the car parked overnight. I have to disconnect and reconnect a fuse several times for it to work. When I disconnect and reconnect this fuse, the computer light turns on and off. Then the pump works all day. The relays are new and were bought from a catalog, and the pump is also new. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Start by checking the connection behind the fuse box. The wire might not be making good contact with the fuse, and you might have to repeatedly connect and disconnect it until it makes contact and the fuel pump is working. Otherwise, check the fuel pump's power supply in the morning with a multimeter (12 Volts) and the ignition on, without doing anything to the fuse (mainly to avoid removing the fuse holder). If you don't have voltage (12 Volts), you must check the fuse holder connection. This is mostly a common problem caused by a bad connection or damaged wiringB) B) , but there's nothing to worry about. The light coming on could simply be due to a lack of fuel pressure in the line. (If you don't have a multimeter, check with another person (a makeshift method) like this: one person at the steering wheel with the ignition on and the other at the fuel pump. The first person will turn the key (without starting the engine) and the second will listen for the pump priming (usually 3 to 5 seconds before starting) to verify that the pump is working. If it is, then you just need to check the fuel pressure in the line with a pressure gauge.B) B)
You should also check all the relays (if you don't know which one is the fuel pump relay).;) ;) ;)
