I have an Opel Tigra A and it has happened to me that the Accounting Cable has split, and from that moment on the car the electric failure light is turned on and stops when I leave Punto Dead.

The fact is that I have read that it is possible that when the cable breaks the speed sensor does not send the signal to the ECU and that is why it fails. My question is whether that sensor is in the cable itself or not, because I bought the cable at home of spare parts not in Opel and the cable is a normal account of accountckilometers, and I would not like to mount it and that it did not work.

The second question is whether someone has changed it in this car if you know if there is any retaining box connector with which the cable has to be removed, or if you can simply know the rubber and pulling ..

Thank you

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Electrical Cable of Accounting Failure
Hi located, the topic of the cable of the accounting that you mention is true but in part, I explain:

your car, as well as the Kadett Gsi, Corsa D and Astra D, wears a collector in the gearbox just where the cable of the accounting is inserted, with three cables, red, black and black blue I think.

The fact is that what has started is not the cable of the accounting but the axis of the collector. When this happens, the movement of change does not cross the collector and therefore the cable of the accountckilometers that is threaded behind either.

In the Corsa to diesel and in the Astra F diesel, the sensor was worth disconnecting the motor heater when the 40 km/h in cold surpassed.

In the Kadett G GSI it was the sensor that made the digital picture accounting operate and in your car I do not know what mission it will have exactly, but surely it is not as an ornament.

I leave you the link of a very interesting Opel page to ask you consult and entangle everything you want. www.clubpel.org

greetings.
