Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Abnormal water consumption
In Chile, pharmacies sell a product that mechanics call "liquid glass."
You pour a liter of it into the cooling system and drive the car. As the water drains out, the liquid hardens and seals the leak, whether it's internal or external. Once the leak stops, you drain the radiator, wash the engine, refill the coolant, and the problem is solved.

, we tried it, and it worked.

Those cars often have the heater core reservoir come loose. I have a 2006 Hyundai and the same thing happened to me. Check if the carpet inside the cabin is getting wet; if so, that's the problem.

That's true, Rorito, I've used it and it works well. Of course, there's also block sealant if you can't find liquid glass, also called soluble glass.
