Megane II Electronic Anomaly Published by manual-mecanica
Hello everyone, I have a 2008 Renault Megane II Phase 2. Yesterday, the message "Electronic Anomaly" appeared. I checked all the car's functions and they're OK. I took it to the garage; they disconnected the battery, cleaned the contacts, and the message and warning light disappeared. But after driving for about 3 minutes, the message reappeared. I went back to the garage, they used a scanner, and after the check, the message was erased and the light went off. The check indicated an anomaly related to the brake light switch, but the brakes are working fine. I left the garage without the message and the light off, but just like last time, it came back on after a while. I couldn't go back to the garage because they're going on Christmas vacation. The strange thing is that I ignored the problem so I wouldn't worry, and the same day the light went off by itself and the message disappeared.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be, or has this happened to anyone else?

P.S. The battery is new.

Greetings and Merry Christmas!

Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: Megane II electronic anomaly
If the scanner indicated a fault with the brake light switch, replace it, as it's inexpensive and could solve the problem. These switches are usually double-sided, meaning one circuit is for the lights and another for the fuel injection. One might be working while the other isn't. Best regards.
