This engine doesn't have a damper.

If everything has been checked, everything is fine, everything has been replaced (just in case, we replace everything that gets damaged...), where is the real problem or danger? Has the timing belt ever broken for this reason? Or is it just the mechanic's concern, trying to solve a problem that isn't really a problem?
