My Car's Electrical System Problems - Posted by manual-mecanica
Okay friend, I'd like to know how to repair the electrical system of my 1985 Toyota Corolla Celica.
The problem is that I took it to a stupid painter who messed with the electrical system, and now the headlights don't work, the battery and oil lights aren't working, the fuel gauge isn't working, and the windshield wipers don't turn on. I have all the necessary documentation for my electrical system; the problem is I don't know where the electrical components are located. Could you please provide some pictures and instructions on how they are connected?

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: Electrical System Problems in My Car
: UNSURE: Well, to be frank, I don't have a car like that, but as far as I know, every electrical system should work the same. Well, I don't know what you mean by "front light," whether it's your dashboard light, your headlights, hmmm... First, you should check where your fuses are and make sure they're not blown. Buy or make a test light. Okay, now that you have it, and you see that there are no blown fuses, I'll try to give you some guidance. Well, it could be that a wire carrying power to the dashboard has come loose, and that's why your spy lights aren't working, or the ground wire on your dashboard isn't properly connected. Remember that Everything runs on electricity and ground. I think that's the most logical explanation for why all those things aren't working. If it were just one, I'd give you different instructions. Go a little further and I'll advise you in more detail.
