Manual-mechanics response on the topic Re: Mitsubishi Galant problem
Hi, you say it's a spark? Do you mean the spark plugs?
- I changed the spark plugs recently.
- Could it also be the spark plug wires? (If so, what resistance should it have to measure the spark plug wires?)
- Yes, it has central locking.

What do you mean by 'TP'?

Thanks and regards...

Hi, I'm new here. Regarding the battery, it's normal for a small spark to appear due to the ECU memory, the stereo memory, or the alarm. You can try the following: You'll need a 3-5 watt test light (pin-on bulb). With everything off, the key out, and the doors closed (if it has a hood release button, hold it down), loosen the negative terminal. You need to bridge the terminal and the post. First, bridge the terminal with the test light, then disconnect the terminal from the post. The bulb should light up for a few seconds and then turn off. If it doesn't turn off, you have a current draw.

Alternatively, scan it, or maybe you need to clean the throttle body. Oh, and it could also need an ECU update (that happened to me with a Focus).
