F8Q Renault Motor published by Manual-Mecanica
Friends: I have a doubt that I consider when the engine of a Renault Express disassembles with F8Q Diesel engine,
what is the light that must remain between the cylinder and the piston?
I ask this because when he found out to rectify the agonos engine, they told me that it was best to direct standard and others that only with rectifying another measure was enough, the light of the rectified remained at 0.075 approx. and that of the routing at 0.035.
Which one should I accept as valid?
Greetings

The minimum permissible slack in that engine is 0.035 m/m that is what they have when they leave the factory.

The other measure they have given you, 0.075 m/m is the maximum permissible slack before rectifying the engine.

Whether the engine is a standard as if you rectify the shirts you have and mounts overmedy (0.50 m/m I suppose) the slack between cylinder and piston has to be 0.035 to 0.045 m/m.

The difference between one thing and another is the cost of machining and the pieces, because the mechanical resistance of the engine does not vary and the increase in displacement is almost imperceptible, so what comes out cheaper will be the most successful.

All the best.
