I lost strength my diesel truck published by Manual-Mecanica
I request your help, since being my truck traveling, a Chevrolet Luv Work with Isuzu 2.8 diesel engine, began to lose strength gradually, accelerated for a while and the revolutions were lowered and stopped, turned again to pass first, second and did not reach third and stopped or had to walk at a maximum of between 20 and 30 km/hour. Check the oil filter in case it was covered, check the hoses, the air filter and nothing. Please I need their help and if someone has Manuel to get the injection bonba.

Before removing the injection pump, test to supply fuel in a "external" way to the normal car circuit.

With the help of a 5 -liter carafe, two tubes and one pear or electric pump you can verify if the failure is of the pump or the fuel line, because sometimes although the diesel filter is clean, it may be entering air into the diesel because of a chopped tube. The diesel circuit works empty so the diesel is difficult to get out, but it is easy to form air bubbles.

Another problem is that the suction tube of the tank is obstructed, so that there is no sufficient diesel flow to keep the car at a normal speed, there is only diesel to keep it torn and sometimes not even that.

If finally with the help of the carafe and the tubes the car works well and has strength, the problem must be sought in the fuel feed line.

If on the other hand it does not work because in that case you will have to disassemble the injection pump.

All the best. And first try the easiest, which is almost always the most likely.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the subject Re: I lost strength my diesel truck
Hello, because I have read and because I know Diesel, I would dare to say that they can be 5 things, the easiest, change if or if oil filter, the oil drive pump of the fuel pond that is with failure, obstruction in is a fuel system, air in the combatable and the last that it is already very searched is that sometimes in the oil entrance of the petroleum Injectors go species of microfilters that are covered (they are very similar to the water inlets system of the washing machines, to avoid that the tartar passes)
PD: If the air filter is obtracted or saturated, the truck also loses power.
Hopefully and serve some of this data
greetings.

Thank you Karma, perform the 5 -liter carafe test and do not have any problem the acceleration is maintained and the engine did not stop, take out the fuel pond and clean it, also blow the air to the fuel via the one between the filter and the pond, but nevertheless when connecting everything again I did not maintain the acceleration and stopped. Finally today buy a new fuel hose and try with this without going through the original duct. I tell you later how it went.
Atte.,
Jorge
