Hello everyone. I just bought a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer with a 4G15 SOHC (1500cc) engine (non-GDI). I'm interested in knowing the compression ratio, as this information is vital for determining the correct octane rating for the gasoline I use. I'm currently using 90-octane gasoline, preferably Primax or another good quality brand. The car runs very well (no knocking) and has good power, but this could be because, being fuel-injected, the ECU efficiently regulates the ignition process. It would be great if any of you have a table of compression ratios versus octane ratings. Thanks! :)

I don't have a chart, but that engine runs great on 95 octane fuel, which is what the manufacturer recommends. Unleaded, of course.
