Hello, I have a Hummer H2 and it has some play in the rear axle shafts. I've been told it can be adjusted by disassembling the differential, specifically by removing some shims inside, but I'm hesitant to do it since I don't have a parts diagram. Could someone provide me with one or share their opinion or experience? Thanks! :(

Manual-mechanics' response on the topic Re: help with disassembling a Hummer H2 gearbox
Look, if you don't have much knowledge or patience, it's best to have that job done professionally. You have to take everything apart, test it, and if it's not right, take everything apart again and test it again. This is done to align the vehicle, but it's slow and complicated. Also, for a good alignment, you need to put it on a machine that measures toe-in and toe-out, and you don't have one. That's my advice. Good luck.
