Change Silentblock of the front trapezoids published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello everyone,
I am not a mechanic but I do the little things that I can as everyone supposed
in the last Itv threw me to have the silentblock of the worn front trapezios, and my question is whether to change them it is easy, that is, how I see that the shock absorber is in between if a press-freestrity is needed, also if you need pit without removing the wheels, with an elevator, or with a cat it
Thank you very much
for a Ford Mondeo

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: change Silentblock of the front trapezoids
Hello Mechanic 69, I have moved your post to mechanical problems for being more related to failures and consultations.

A suspension springs compressor is not necessary to change the silentblocks of the mondeo suspension trapezoids, what you need is to lift the car from the front and fit it with two blurred under the cupcakes of the chassis so that the morro stays "hanging".

Then you will have to remove the two wheels, the cover and release the stabilizer bar and finally release the hooks of the suspension arms.

First an arm, you release the screws that hold it to the chassis you change the rubber, clean all the sand that remains in the lodges of the rubber, you place everything as it was and then you put yourself with the other arm.

In this way it serves you as a guide to ride everything in the right order.

When you have ended with your arms, you proceed to ride the stabilizer bar and the cover with the precaution that it does not make you lost in sandy or that it gives you a lot of war until you put a couple of screws.

You drive the two wheels and lower the borriquetas.

It is not convenient to do this operation with the car raised only from one side because the stabilizer bar will be making incredible force and when you release it you can hit you a very strong whip.

And it does not say that you never work under a car without making sure that you are not going to fall.

Nor do I think it is necessary to mention that the cats that bring the cars as standard are a fucking shit and that anyone who governs a little will not get underneath without precautions.

Joer looks like someone's father ... Well, nothing more and receive a cordial greeting.
